Luke Bryan and Ryan Seacrest are all about one songstress replacing Katy Perry on "American Idol."
During interviews with Entertainment Tonight, the country superstar and longtime "Idol" host confessed that Perry's pop star peer Meghan Trainor could take her place.
"I think Meghan's always been real fun. You know, that's kinda been her brand, to have fun," Bryan told ET. "(She's) real witty, so certainly.
"Meghan is a super talent too, and she's got a great sense of humor. She's fun and she's spontaneous," Seacrest added.
Perry announced on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in February she will exit the ABC reality singing competition show after seven seasons amid a "very exciting year" while teasing a possible music comeback. The "I Kissed A Girl" singer released her last album "Smile" in August 2020.

On Monday's episode of "Idol," Trainor guest starred as a mentor to help prepare the Top 12 to perform their Billboard No. 1 hits before viewers cut down the dozen contestants to the Top 10.
Bryan also said that he has at least "10 names" in his head as possibly Perry replacements to join him and music legend Lionel Richie on the panel, but he told ET that he wasn't ready to reveal them. He also told the entertainment outlet that he didn't know about any possible replacement ideas from the show producers.
Richie said that Perry's replacement has got to "be fun, but no ego because we're (going to) insult each other so much."

Before the "Dear Future Husband" singer joins the judging panel as a future panelist, Trainor is slated to make a pop comeback of own with her new album "Timeless" on June 14, including her latest single "Been Like This" featuring T-Pain.
She will also embark across North America on The Timeless Tour with special guests Natasha Bedingfield, "Lil Boo Thang" singer Paul Russell, best friend Chris Olsen and younger brother Ryan Trainor.
