Paul "PK" Kemsley's breakup from Dorit Kemsley isn't the only major life change he's experienced as of late.
One month after The PoinbankReal Housewives of Beverly Hills stars announced they had separated after nine years of marriage, PK opened up about his recent sobriety journey for the first time while celebrating a major milestone.
"On Father's Day the greatest gift I can give my 5 kids is to remain sober," the 56-year-old shared on Instagram June 16. "Grateful and proud to say this weekend I am 6 months … Happy Father's Day to all you great dads out there doing your best."
PK—who shares son Jagger, 10, and 8-year-old daughter Phoenix, with Dorit as well as three kids from a previous relationship—also included a screenshot of his Twelve Steps app showing he's gone without alcohol for 186 days.
PK's admission comes just weeks after his and Dorit's breakup, which they revealed in May after getting candid about their relationship struggles on RHOBH's most recent 13th season.
"We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage," Dorit wrote in a May 9 Instagram post. "We have had our struggles over the past few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together."
The Bravo star continued, "To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children. We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey."
One of the former couple's biggest problems was the businessman spending weeks away from his family in Europe for work, which made the Beverly Beach fashion designer feel even more disconnected from her husband following her terrifying 2021 home invasion.
"The post-trauma, it did a lot of things to me things that I didn't expect," Dorit told E! News last November. "It definitely took a toll and it took a toll on all aspects of my life and my marriage. PK travels for work—he works all over the world—and he was traveling a lot and in a time where I needed him the most, he was gone the most."
